The Eau Claire Children’s Theatre will hold auditions on location for seven upcoming shows: the historical musical 1776 and the winning plays from the New Playwright’s Competition. The NPC auditions are for Housekeepers (by Holly Sollberger and Volume One’s web editor Mike Paulus), Queen Elizabeth’s Feather Duster (by Lauren Swiatko), The Audition (by Lindsay Robertson), Gone for Now (by Cordero Roman), Hope (by Steve Weiss), and Ten More Minutes for Andy Warhol (by Rozanna Bejin). The auditions are on April 6 from 5 to 6:30 pm. ECCT needs 15 males and 13 females, ages 12 to adult. Valleybrook Church hosts the performance on April 21 at 7pm. The 1776 auditions are on April 6 and 7 at 7 pm. Thespians interested in a lead should prepare a one-minute cutting from any Broadway song (others can sing familiar song, no dance auditions). Twenty-two men, ages high school to adult, two adult women, and two middle school-aged boys are needed. Performances are June 11-14 at the Masonic Auditorium in Eau Claire.
