UW-Eau Claire showcases the work of 10 senior fine art students April 3 to 15 for the Foster Gallery BFA Show in Haas Fine Arts Center. The public is invited to an opening reception from 1-3pm on April 4. Foster Gallery director Tom Wagener has yet to see the art, but is excited for the grand reveal. “It’s always a fun to see what the seniors are going to do. We have a very diverse exhibit,” he said. The types of art displayed include drawings, oil and acrylic paintings and watercolors, digital photography, photo and performance art installations, and graphic design pieces. In particular, V1 contributor Hanna Agar used recycled paper to create incredible stage scenes and costumes, Hjordi Danielson displays functional ceramics, and Nate Sorenson presents drawings and paintings influenced by comic books. Gallery hours are 10 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday and Thursdays from 6-8 pm.
