Mealin’ for the Healin’

When it comes to hospital dining, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire have banished the mystery meal. Since August, St. Joseph’s has offered a restaurant-style menu in the birth center. This enhanced, room-service menu allows for custom dining while a mother recovers from delivery. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner orders are completed within 30 to 45 minutes, and an extra tray can be ordered for a guest. Sacred Heart plans to implement the same style of food selection for all inpatients by November. It is currently offered for maternity patients. Orders can be placed 6:30am to 6:30pm, seven days a week. With no extra charge for the service and locally grown food products, those in Sacred Heart’s care can rest assured they’ll get a recovery meal they enjoy.
