Just in time for its 40th anniversary season, The Cabin at UW-Eau Claire has upgraded its performance space. The new professional-looking stage has performance ColorKinetics ColorBlast 12 LED fixtures, which will put on the kind of light show usually only found on a national tour and reduce power consumption by 95 percent per show. Students operating the new ETC Smartfade ML lightborard will have experience with the most cutting-edge technology available to the lighting world. The new sound system uses a 24-channel GL2400 Allen and Heath console with tuned JBL MRX 500 Series main speakers to eliminate sound cancellations, and a four individual monitor mix with newly designed compact EAW floor monitors. The new equipment will give students experience with some of the most advanced AV equipment in the UW System.
