Athletes' Aches Answered

Trevor Kupfer |

Hundreds in the Chippewa Valley’s male population are tossing on pads, lacing up spikes, and overwhelming parents with grass-stained clothes. That’s right, it’s time for fall sports. But more important than the increase in laundry is the spike in athletic injuries, not only from football but other activities as well. All those bumps and bruises have prompted Luther Midelfort to once again offer its Saturday Morning Sports Medicine Clinic for injured student athletes. The one-hour program, from 9am to 10am Aug. 23 through Oct. 18, invites aching athletes to come down to the fourth-floor Orthopedic Center and join a different team, this one comprised of a physician, physical therapist, athletic trainer, nurse, and X-ray technician.
