Borders Makes Kid`s Book Drive Really, Really Easy

Karline Koehler |

Make a bookstore run this month, and you might find yourself promoting literacy and putting books in the hands of kids. Borders in Eau Claire is teaming up with the Friends of the L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library to collect children's and young adult books for the library. Borders and the library will select and design in-store displays full of children's books for customers to choose from. Through August, customers can pick books from the book drive display - or choose age-appropriate books of their own - then take them to the registers to purchase and donate. Five percent of sales from donated books will also be donated to the Friends of the Library.
