The Grand Little Theatre played host to an original stage adaptation of Hedwig and the Angry Inch (Sept. 2,3 & 9,10), a rock musical about a fictional rock and roll band fronted by an East German transgender singer. Story is by John Cameron Mitchell, and music and lyrics by Stephen Trask. Chippewa Valley dragstar Miss Dee-Lovely played the unlikely heroine. This production combined glorious campiness with an incredible musical score performed by some of Eau Claire’s most seasoned rockers.
