Regional Arts Center. Some people call me the Gangster of Love."

Well now, this is tantalizing. The Eau Claire Regional Arts Center will soon be hosting an online crowd-sourced funding platform (catch all that?) for local art projects, connecting donors to projects they are passionate about. According to ECRAC's Executive Director Ben Richgruber, "the site allows cultural organizations to post and promote projects in need of funding and invites donors to contribute directly to the projects that are most intriguing."

They'll be hosting a meeting about the platform on Monday, Sept. 17. If you're a local artist, you're going to want to check this out. From ECRAC:

The Eau Claire Regional Arts Council is excited to announce a partnership with the Arts and Science Council of Charlotte to provide the Chippewa Valley with power2give.org, an online cultural marketplace that connects donors with projects they are passionate about.  Local artists and organizations post projects that are in need of funding.  You help bring them to life with a gift. The Chippewa Valley power2give.org site will cover projects in Eau Claire, Chippewa and Dunn counties.

The Eau Claire Regional Arts Council will be hosting an informational session on Monday, September 17 at noon in the lobby of the State Theatre.  All local arts and culture organizations are invited to attends, as well as individual artists, musicians, writers, dancers, teachers, doodlers and noodlers.
