UWEC Forum Series - Matthew Desmond: "Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City"

Desmond's groundbreaking book followpeople swept up in the cycle of eviction. The Harvard associate professor of sociology draws upon the urban reporting and statistical data gathered for the book to show how "eviction is a cause, not just a condition of poverty" and that the burden of this cycle belongs almost solely to mothers and children.
