Eau Claire’s Parks, Recreation, and Forestry division challenges locals to discover the hidden treasures of the city by completing riddles and gettin’ outside. The Bridges of the City Crossword Puzzle will take challengers on a scenic eight-bridge adventure.

The crossword puzzle challenge will run Feb. 1-Feb. 29. The puzzle, which is available online, takes you throughout downtown Eau Claire via the city’s trails. “Walk, run, or bike your way through the trails and you might just find yourself crossing all eight city bridges in a scenic 8-mile loop,” a recent media release said.

By discovering every location unveiled through the crossword, prizes are up for grabs! Register yourself or your group online, then send a photo of your completed crossword puzzle and a photo at each bridge location to recreation@eauclairewi.gov to enter yourself into prize drawings. Winners will be announced on the Parks and Recreation Facebook page after the event is over.
