Bringing more retro to the valley, The Pretty Peach offers a salon and shopping experience immersed in 1950s glamor. Before rebranding, owner Makenzie Nordin operated Side Saddle Wax Studio in Eau Claire, where she was inspired to open The Pretty Peach, hoping to offer a more expansive salon experience to clients as well as expand her retail. Located at 521 N Bridge St., in downtown Chippewa Falls, The Pretty Peach officially opened its doors on July 25.

The salon’s aesthetic channels retro Palm Springs, the bright colors and mid-century modern furniture combine with 50s music to create an ambiance that is both glamorous and relaxing – everything that’s needed to feel pampered. While specializing in waxing, The Pretty Peach also offers skin care services, lash lifts, brow tinting, and more.

Nordin wanted to bring a taste of pin-up vintage meets modern to the area and has created a space where people can come in for appointments and shop around to find quality skin and body care products while also finding fun trinkets and clothing. While Nordin currently has 50s vintage and pinup style clothing for sale, she hopes to keep expanding the boutique portion of her shop.

“There are a few different pin-up clothing brands that I really love and would like to be able to carry. There's nothing quite like that in Eau Claire and Chippewa,” said Nordin.

The Pretty Peach’s current hours are Tuesday-Friday 10:30am-5pm. For more information, visit The Pretty Peach’s website or Facebook page.
