Are you procrastinating about taking down your Christmas tree? Or are you wondering what to do with all those branches that fell during the recent winter storm? You’re in luck: The City of Eau Claire’s Green Waste Facility will be open through Tuesday, Jan. 31, as part of the annual Merry Mulch tree recycling program.

The Green Waste Facility is at 5710 Jeffers Road, Eau Claire, about three-quarters of a mile north of the North Crossing.

According to the city’s Community Services Department, “The site will be open during daylight hours, at no cost. Items should be free of debris. Trees should be free of all decorations and lights, no tree bags accepted. No attendant will be on duty to assist with unloading.”

Learn more about size restrictions and what items are accepted at the Green Waste Facility online at EauClaireWi.gov/Brush.
