Fair warning: If the last couple of years didn’t do it for you, the next four issues of Volume One are going to have a LOT of talk about the Confluence Project. So get ready, it’s time to sit up and pay attention. Recent action by both the County Board and City Council means we’re about to have the most critical spring election this community has possibly ever seen – on Tuesday, April 1. To help close any remaining gaps of information, we’re launching a four-part editorialized series that will hopefully answer many of your questions about the project and help you talk to your family and friends about it. Our regular news articles covering the various happenings around the project will continue to be delivered in as unbiased a tone as is reasonable. However if it wasn’t already clear, our general editorial narrative will be straight-up advocacy. Generally we try and stay out of direct politics like the upcoming referendums, but this issue over support of the Confluence Project is too critical to not step into the fray.
