Arts & Crafts to Rock the House of Rock

On November 12, from 2-7pm, MargieAnn Goin, along with several other talented local artists will be displaying a multitude of arts and crafts. At the House of Rock. Think the location is unusual? We did, too, and we’re excited to see what it’s like. From pottery to graphite portraits, knit/crocheted items of clothing and spoon jewelry, variety is one thing this show will not lack. While having a drink and contemplating if mom would really like that knit hat, your ears will be pleasantly delighted by the acoustic sounds from Kelly Holden, Acoustic French, and Spirit Blu. Spoon jewelry, Margie’s specialty, is an original craft in which she recycles antique silver spoons by making them into various types of jewelry. She breaks the spoons into small pieces and handpaints the inside using toothpicks and needles to add meticulous patterns. This craft was inspired by a fellow crafting friend and a project on Etsy, but Margie’s crafts are made authentically with her attention to detail and graceful touch.
