More than 40 films will be shown at the 2010 Flyway Film Festival in Pepin, WI, held October 21-24. Founder and Executive Director Rick Vaicius said the festival will feature independent documentaries, shorts, and narrative feature-length films from all over the world, including Ireland, Germany, France, Great Britain, and right here in Wisconsin and Minnesota. This year the festival will host Kelley Baker. Also known as “The Angry Filmmaker,” Baker was previously a sound designer in Hollywood who “decided the Hollywood studio system was broken” and started touring the country, teaching other filmmakers how to become independent. The festival, which is in its third year, drew more than 1,000 people last year.
