    After a four-year hiatus, the über-likeable Eau Claire-based rock-and-blues outfit EasyChair is paying tribute to their past with a one-night reunion show. The band whose music has been likened to the Allman Brothers and the Black Crowes dropped their first album (self-titled) in February 2002, followed by a second, Broken Bridges, in early 2003. All this transpired after a chance-arrangement at an “open stage” night at The Cornerstone (more recently known as Stones Throw). Members included Bill Boles (lead singer) and Phil Juodis (bassist), who stomped the same grounds in their youth, plus Bronson Bergeson (guitarist) and Tony Basley (drums), who traveled the same music scene. Their sound, which was guitar-driven and contained some country elements, piqued the attention of national touring acts such as Everclear and Ike Reilly, who invited them to perform. EasyChair tunes were also picked up by radio stations statewide. Since their disbanding, Boles and Juodis have become staples to the popular soulful rock band South Farwell, while Basley produced a solo album, Callipygous, and Bergeson had a stint with The Old-Fashioneds before relocating. Though change is inevitable to any music scene, it’s comforting to know that ever-maturing musicians value their roots and their fan base. This talented foursome certainly does.
