Menomonie’s recently renovated and reopened golf course, Tanglewood Greens, is rolling out its new winter menu – and a new way to enjoy it: Take advantage of the gorgeous view with a group of friends, even when the course is blanketed with snow, thanks to the outdoor “igloos.”
Two transparent igloo-like structures fitted with seating and heating are now available six days a week, and Chief Operating Officer Angela Asher said initial response from community members has been very positive. The igloos are perfectly comfortable for groups of two to six (and for those tight-knit groups, potentially as many as eight), and the full menu and cocktails are available to order and enjoy in the igloos.
With one casual igloo and another fancier option – it even has a small chandelier! – you’ll still want to bring a jacket with you to enjoy the unique outdoor dining experience. Up for grabs through two-hour reservation slots, customers will pay a $75 minimum during the week and $100 minimum on Friday and Saturday, which will go toward their total bill.
Tanglewood Greens’ menu is also getting into the holiday spirit, complete with holiday cocktails – such as the Mistletoe Margarita and Jack Frost – and hot holiday cocktails, including Peppermint Patty, Hot Toddy, Fire Cider, and more.
Food options include the usual sandwich and burger menu sections, daily specials including Friday Fish Fry, plus main course options like Mulligan Pasta and Lemon Greek Chicken. The golf course and its restaurant share new items and specials online, so keep up with them on Facebook.
