Window World: 'Woven Into The Fabric' Of This Annual Summer Tradition
check Window World of Eau Claire off your Northern Wisconsin State Fair bucket list
Each summer, the Northern Wisconsin State Fair (NWSF) brings neighbors, families, friends and local businesses of the Chippewa Valley together – all in one place – to celebrate the arts and culture that makes our region invaluable.
For Window World of Eau Claire, the annual fair festivities have always been about more than just “showing up.” Co-owners Tim and DeAnn Heinz – and the entire family – believe the NWSF provides an opportunity like no other: Be present where locals gather and help these efforts grow.
Window World of Eau Claire first became involved in the fair’s efforts when co-owners Tim and DeAnn brought the business’ mission to Chippewa Falls: serve their community and stand alongside it.
“Some of my favorite memories go all the way back to when we were kids – helping out at the booths and especially going to watch the talent show,” Daniel Heinz, a co-manager of Window World said. “(The NWSF) was so entertaining and just a great atmosphere every year.”
The fair, the Heinz family said, has allowed Window World employees to meet customers face-to-face, engage in genuine conversation and build relationships beyond the nine-to-five schedule.
What began as an opportunity to connect has grown into a tradition the family looks forward to each and every year onward.
"There is something meaningful about people recognizing us from the commercials years ago and still seeing us actively involved today. It creates a connection with other local families because, at the end of the day, we are one too."

“We have stayed rooted in the Chippewa Valley and genuinely care about helping it grow,” Daniel said. “There is something meaningful about people recognizing us from the commercials years ago and still seeing us actively involved today.
“It creates a connection with other local families because, at the end of the day, we are one too,” Daniel continued.
This year marks an exciting step forward between Window World of Eau Claire and the NWSF, as the local business expands its role and becomes a larger sponsor of the fair this July 8-12.
With this evolution comes a more visible presence: a new “front porch” for guests on display – in addition to the classic booth setup – and deeper contributions to the event itself.
Brian Maki, executive director of the NSWF, said sponsors of the annual offering play a vital role to bring the event to life, “helping transform it from a traditional gathering into a vibrant, community-centered experience.”
“With expanded support from partners like Window World, sponsorship goes beyond simple brand visibility,” Maki said. “It becomes a meaningful investment in the region’s culture, shared traditions and economic vitality of our community.”
“Sponsors enhance the overall experience by making it more dynamic, inclusive and engaging, ensuring the Fair remains a beloved tradition while continuing to grow and evolve for future generations,” Maki said. “Window World’s presence is woven into the fabric of the event, from stages and entertainment to amenities and family-friendly attractions.”

As summertime draws near and July creeps closer, Daniel and family are incredibly proud to announce this next step and support such a long-standing tradition, right here in Chippewa Falls.
For his family, Daniel said, the annual fair has always meant more than simple brand exposure; the NWSF offers a chance to share common ground and welcome new customers into the Window World family.
“This year, we are expecting the experience to feel even more established and foundational,” Daniel said. “More than anything, the Window World front porch stage reinforces that we are here for the long term… a business that is committed to the community and proud to be part of the great events the Chippewa Valley has to offer.”
As locals and visitors alike make their way through the NWSF this year in Chippewa Falls (225 Edward St.), Window World of Eau Claire will be there with wide smiles and excitement for all that unfolds.
