Stop & Smell The Lavender in Chippewa Falls This Summer
Pondview Lavender Farm will welcome the public for its second season beginning June 5
After Pondview Lavender Farm’s debut last summer, the Sworski family has been hard at work gearing up for their second season – and will officially reopen to the public on June 5.
For those who followed the smell of the lavender blooms to the Chippewa Falls farm last year, even more features await this season: a coffee bar will offer hot and cold lavender lattes, and lavender chai tea; a new water feature and the family’s landscaping efforts have made the area even more stunning; and an expanded retail space and indoor seating area has been added.
“I knew how much I loved being there, but I didn’t realize how much the people would being in the space too,” Stephanie Sworski said. “Last season, we were blown away; It was an overwhelming success, with so many visitors from so many places.”

Full bloom for the lavender farm’s 9,000-plus plants will be from about the middle of June to the middle of July, Sworski said, during which time the farm will extend its hours for people to soak up as much of the blooms as they can.
The farm's regular hours will be Thursday through Sunday from 10am-3pm. However, once the lavender is in full bloom, the farm will expand its hours to six days a week and stay open until 6pm.
“Now that we’ve gotten past the major construction, all the planning, and figuring out what products to make, we can start exploring other things,” Sworski said. “Giving tours, developing classes, and what I’m really excited for: more partnerships in the area.”
Pondview works with Kaiserson's, River Bend Winery & Distillery, and a few other places in the area. The Sworski family aims to expand their partnerships with local businesses, reach wider audiences and connect individuals to the source of locally-grown lavender.
“Anybody can just order something online, but when you can go to the source, learn how things are produced or grown, you get more depth and all that connection. I think that’s what people are really looking for,” Sworski said.
Pondview Lavender Farm is located at 3735 Business Hwy 29 in Chippewa Falls and will open for the season on June 5 • The farm’s regular hours will be Thursday-Sunday, 10am-3pm • Keep up with Pondview on Facebook and Instagram (@pondviewlavenderfarm) or learn more at pondviewlavenderfarm.com
