He's got friends in low places.
He's got friends in low places.

The thunder rolls and the lightnin’ strikes, folks. Announced today, country superstar and one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time Garth Brooks is making his way to the Chippewa Valley … albeit virtually.

The legendary country artist announced last week that he’ll headline a June 27 concert which will be broadcast exclusively at 300 drive-in movie theaters across North America, including one at our own Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls. The concert will be screened on a 40-foot digital screen, with a full concert sound system via FM transmitter. No pets, no carry-ins, just the sweet, sweet songs of Garth in all his glory.

The show is being promoted by Wilkes Group and Alpha Marketing and Events, the same partnership that has been holding pop-up drive-in movies around the Chippewa Valley in recent weeks.

Tickets  – they’re $100 per car – go on sale Friday, June 19,  and you can grab ’em and learn more about the concert at www.cvdrivein.com
