The third annual Collectors Day will be held at the Rassbach Museum in Menomonie’s Wakanda Park on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 1-4pm. Collectors Day is a celebration of collectors and their collections. This year, participating collectors will share their collections of American Girl dolls, bells, Holly Hobbie collectables, doll houses, pressed pennies, pyrography (also known as wood burning), railroad artifacts, roosters, telephones, tiki mugs, tin toys, Wheaton bottles, unusual cookbooks, and kitchen oddities.

A silent auction and raffle will also be held, and participants do not need to be present to win.

The auction includes an autographed Green Bay Packers football; baseball cards signed by baseball greats and former Menomonie residents Joe Vavra (former baseball coach for the Minnesota Twins and Detroit Tigers) and his son Terrin Vavra (former Baltimore Orioles second baseman and outfielder); a Curiosity Collection; a Disney Pin collection; a Stranger Things Funko collection; and a Rustle the Raccoon Mystery collection. (Rustle is the mascot of the Dunn County Historical Society).

The raffle includes the following collections: Beanie Babies, Crystals, Fishing Lures, Hen on Nest, Hockey Cards & Figurines, Junk Drawer collection, Lego Mini Figures, Little Golden Books, Salt & Pepper Shakers, Stamps, Swizzle Sticks, and Wade Figurines.

Other highlights of the day include the museum’s Pressed Penny Machine that features five historic Dunn County locations (guests can make a penny for 51 cents), a small collection of local business artifacts that are part of the museum’s collection, and the Badger Wheels chapter of the Studebaker  autos.

Collectors Day is free to attend, held at Rassbach Museum (1820 John Russell Road, Menomonie) on Sept. 28 from 1-4pm • Find additional information online
