Defining a Decade

the people, projects, ideas, and organizations that have shaped our community these last 10 years

Maybe it’s because this is the decade Volume One has actually been around for, but 2002 to 2012 sure feels to us like a particularly significant one for the Chippewa Valley. We’ve seen serious momentum in several arenas, including our public spaces, downtown revitalizations, arts scenes, economic development, cultural diversity, recreational activities, and many more. There are certain people behind all that progress, people who (for whatever reason) really stepped up and made a difference. Who you’ll see on the following pages are just some of those people – one small portion of a community taking pride in who it is and what it does.
