Dr. Brett joined the team in June, originally from California and serving in the Air Force for 11 years as a Pararescue Jumper. As a child, he had his fair share of orthodontic work done, and after a career of serving the country, it was only natural to continue working in a field that involved the direct care of others. “It’s kind of cliché, but one of my values in life is helping others,” Dr. Brett explained. “Especially with dentistry, there’s an intimate kind of care involved and an artistic creativity. No tooth is ever the same, no patient’s experience is ever the same, and I get to help them in a way not everyone can.”

Landing in our slice of Wisconsin was no random occurrence, either. Dr. Brett’s wife, Emily, is from Chippewa Falls, and with family being a core value, Dr. Brett and Emily began looking to move to the Midwest. But perhaps what sealed the deal for Dr. Brett and Regis Court Dental Associates, is what seals the deal for patients too: the kind of honesty and genuine character that is a staple to the office.

“Just talking with the team, I could tell there was a genuineness about Regis Court,” Dr. Brett recalled. Finding Regis Court Dental Associates felt like night and day, compared to how his experience had been looking elsewhere. “I could ask a question and get a clear answer, and they asked the right kind of questions, you know? Everyone was super welcoming, the atmosphere was comfortable, and in thinking about the future, I could really see myself here.”

Even landing in the area just a handful of months ago, locals may have already seen Dr. Brett mountain biking out on the plethora of stunning trails and parks in the area, a favorite hobby of his outside of the office. Not only does he enjoy staying active, but it’s also a ‘must’ in his family – his wife is too good of a baker!

For Dr. Trevor, an Arizona native, the Chippewa Valley is a place where his own values fit with the community excellently – which is probably why his family moved back to the area! Dr. Trevor’s wife is also from Wisconsin, and while Dr. Trevor was practicing dentistry in Arizona, their family was drawn back to our Midwestern community. Becoming part of the Regis Court Dental Associates team this past August was another near-seamless fit as well.

“Regis Court came highly recommended, and that’s how the initial conversation about my joining the team happened,” Dr. Trevor said. “I feel like ever since I stepped into this practice, everything has aligned. It’s always about the patients, first and foremost, and that is exactly what my priority is as well. It’s part of what makes Regis Court so special – they hold strongly to the patient-first mentality. It’s what drew me here.”

After studying engineering and working in the field for about six years at 3M, Dr. Trevor found himself looking for a change. His father is a dentist, so the dental field was always something in the back of his mind. “I wanted to help people directly,” Dr. Trevor explained. “I get to hangout with patients all day long, hear their stories, and develop long-lasting relationships over the course of months and years. That’s special.”

In addition to joining the Regis Court team, Dr. Trevor and his wife chose to move back to Eau Claire to re-join a local church that they were a part of during their first stint in the city. Being a part of the church and being close to family have been consistent joys since moving back to the Chippewa Valley. The environment of the Valley is welcoming and comforting, both feelings that Regis Court Dental Associates always aims to evoke. When not in the office, you can find Dr. Trevor spending time with his wife and daughters, at a CrossFit gym, on a disc golf course, or playing ice hockey.

“We were obviously looking for someone who is extremely competent and an amazing dentist, which both Dr. Brett and Dr. Trevor are, but we also needed someone who is kind, compassionate, family- and team-oriented,” Business Manager Jeff Henson said. “The environment we create here is all about that comfort aspect. We’re not just here to do a service.”

“What do you need to feel more comfortable, how can we make that happen, and how can we help create the smile you want? That’s what we aim to do,” Dr. Lisa added. “Both Dr. Brett and Dr. Trevor approach patient care in the same way. They are not only excellent dentists, they are also genuinely kind and compassionate people. We are beyond blessed that they chose to join our team!”
