Starting at 9:00am before the ride, gather at Haymarket Plaza just outside the Pablo Center in Downtown Eau Claire to check-in and get your beer wristbands. During this time you can also purchase coffee and snack waffles from the Shift Cyclery & Coffee Bar tent!
At 10:00am the mass group will depart to ride 12 miles at a casual pace up the Old Abe State Trail – the fully paved multi-use trail connecting Eau Claire to Chippewa Falls.
There we’ll stop at the famous Leinie Lodge where all participants get an included 4-beer sample flight (you pick the brews!). You could even do a little Leinie-based shopping.
After that, we head back down the trail to Eau Claire where we hit up the indoor/outdoor space of the Brewing Projekt along the river for a “biker flight” of three crowd favorites. Hang out here as long as you’d like, where a food truck will be on-site as well for those who worked up an appetite.
An easy, fun community day on bikes with friends and family.
And it all raises money for CORBA — the volunteer — and member-based organization dedicated to building, improving, and maintaining multi-use trails and promoting activities and events on the trails in Wisconsin’s Chippewa Valley, including mountain biking, trail running, snowshoeing, hiking, and more.
All registration fees support CORBA and trails in the Chippewa Valley!
$25/rider through July 19
$30/rider after July 20
After our stop at the Brewing Projekt, you can make your way back the half mile to Haymarket Plaza or wherever you started your ride from.
The beer sample tickets issued from your wristband will only be honored during the time ranges shown above. The stretch of Old Abe Trail this event takes place on does not require a state trail pass.

Safety of all riders is the highest concern for the organizers of the Here to Beer Community Bike Ride. Please be respectful to each other on the trail and make this ride positive and enjoyable for all. To this end, participants are asked to obey the following rules:
The course route for the Here to Beer follows the Chippewa River State Trail but crosses public roads which remain open to motorists during the event. All riders are expected to follow the rules of the road. This includes recognizing that motorists have the right of way.
All participants must always wear an ANSI approved bike helmet while on the course route. Violation of this rule will result in future ineligibility to participate.
Because course routes use/cross streets which are open to typical traffic, all traffic rules apply. This includes stopping at intersections with signs or signal lights. This is especially important when crossing Galloway St. as well as Melby Rd.
IDs will be checked at each venue to ensure participants are of age for beer samples. Those under 21 will have options to purchase other beverages, which will not be included in the registration price.
