What you may not know is that Russell, who now lives in Hudson, was born in Eau Claire and has many relatives that still reside in our great city. Several of his relatives, including his brother Adam Nicolet (the managing attorney at Nicolet Law), live in Eau Claire and work at the Eau Claire Office. With the Eau Claire office located right in the heart of downtown Eau Claire, Russell makes his way over to our neck of the woods often, for both business and fun.

“Eau Claire is one of our flagship offices and we have roots there, it’s a big part of us,” Russell said. “We love the community and we love being part of it. We’re looking forward to watching it grow, and we’re going to continue to grow with it. We continue to hire people from the community and take care of good people in the community that have legal issues and are in need of help.”

With offices in Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota, Nicolet is spread throughout the Midwest but remains present and loyal to the local community. Nicolet Law prides themselves in their professional successes as well as their work within the communities they serve, specifically in Eau Claire.

In 2022, Nicolet Law donated $10,000 to the Feed My People Food Bank, an Eau Claire-based non-profit that strives to end hunger in west central Wisconsin. The donation was put towards the organization’s van which provides over 10,000 meals to those who need them in the area.

The importance of education is also a cornerstone of Nicolet’s values, which is why the Nicolet Law Scholarship is offered to students twice a year, awarding one student $5,000 towards their schooling. The scholarship has already been awarded to five students across the country within different fields.

Eau Claire residents know that the music scene runs deep around here, and that’s why for the last six years Nicolet Law has been the official law firm of The Blue Ox Music Festival. Nicolet also sponsors Country Jam USA, which brings roughly $24 million of economic impact annually to the area.
