Volume One Staff

Maggie Israel is one of our part time Sales Associates at The Local Store & Volume One Gallery. She joined our team in 2019 with several years of experience in customer service. Maggie will graduate from University Wisconsin Eau Claire in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Originally from Duluth, Minnesota, she has always had an appreciation for the local arts and makers in the community that has translated into a love for all of the unique makers and artists in the Eau Claire area.

Maggie’s responsibilities at the store include assisting customers find products and choose gifts along with informing both visitors and locals of events and places to visit in Eau Claire and the surrounding area. She also assists in updating and managing the web store.

Aside from working at The Local Store, Maggie is passionate about the outdoors and outdoor recreation. She works with the Universities outdoor program leading trips including cross country skiing, rock climbing, and canoeing. She also works as a climbing guide at Midwest Mountain Guides. Besides enjoying the outdoors, she also enjoys creating art in her free time, listening to live music throughout the Eau Claire area and exploring local breweries.
