On Tuesday, October 14, acclaimed local author John Hildebrand read from his new book, The Heart of Things: A Midwestern Almanac. In the book, Hildebrand charts the overlapping rings – home, town, countryside – of life in the heartland. The packed reading was part of 2014's Chippewa Valley Book Festival.
