Looking for that cure for cabin fever and spring fever? Head to the Wisconsin Sport Show, March 20-22, at Menard’s Old Mill Expo Center. The center’s 53,000 square feet will be filled with more than 130 exhibitors of boats, pontoons, docks and lifts, hunting and fishing products, lures, guides, outfitters and charters, resorts, lodges and campgrounds, kayak tours and rentals, hunting blinds, firearms, hunting dogs, ATVs, recreational vehicles, and more. Local outdoor broadcasting legend Dave Carlson and hall-of-fame walleye angler Ted Takasaki lead the lineup of 17 outdoor experts who will present and/or demonstrate their craft. Topics include how to bring home bigger pan fish, how to catch walleyes during tough bites, how to walk among deer undetected, and how to develop your gun dog. Demonstrations include paddle boarding, capturing your feats on video, chain-saw carving, and dog-training. There literally is something for everyone. Plus, you can register to win hundreds of dollars in door prizes and enjoy on-site concessions. Advance tickets are available online or at all Gordy’s County Markets, Scheels, and the Leader-Telegram for $6. Tickets are also available at the door for $8.
