Forms and Experiments - Kate Bradley and CV Peterson

Kate Bradley is a sculptor from Wausau and uses the process called taille direct or direct carving, carving directly into soapstone and alibastor without first making a model. CV Peterson is a multidisciplinary artist residing in Eau Claire. Their work combines scientific exploration and art as a way to examine environmental devastation.

Sculpture Tour Eau Claire

Enjoy this outdoor, interactive, free exhibit of sculptures displayed nearly year-round, twenty-four hours a day. The sculptures are owned by the artists who created them and are loaned to Eau Claire’s exhibit for 48-50 weeks. Each May a new set of sculptures arrives in the Eau Claire community for display and enjoyment.

View work by abstract expressionist painter Nate Rylander. “Action painting” can be seen in his artwork along with reclaimed materials such as hollow core doors. Rug Hooking Guild

The Tree City Guild Rug Hook Crafters meet weekly on Tuesdays at the Chippewa Valley Museum. Rug hook crafters use a cutter to prepare strips of material, mainly wool, which are then hooked to monk's cloth set on a frame. The Tree City Guild welcomes new members.
