That's right, Leinenkugel’s is expanding! But not in the way you might think ...

The historic Chippewa Falls brewing company will open a new restaurant in Kansas City's Power & Light district. The restaurant's business itself will be outsourced to a management company, and they've worked with Kansas City local chef Matt Livers to create a menu that expresses the Wisconsin roots of the brewery while also highlighting the food of Kansas.

Now unless you're already planning to swing near Kansas City sometime soon I'm not sure how many of us will get a chance to check out the new restaurant, but it is nice knowing a little piece of Wisconsin culture is being enjoyed someplace else in the world.

One cool thing about this new restaurant is that it's a reminder that something started here in the Chippewa Valley has a national presence. While the business headquarters still resides in Chippewa Falls they produce almost one million barrels per year nationally and sell all around the U.S.

You can read more about the new restaurant here.
