The Volume One Gallery & Local Store in Eau Claire hosts this giftworthy local print sale during Winter each year. Focused on selling affordable, mostly unframed works, the sale features more than 500 pieces of 2D work on paper from nearly 100 artists. It includes screen prints, woodcuts, mono-prints and other traditional print forms, as well as quality digital prints of illustrations, photos, and more.

The sale features multiple copies of most prints, and the majority of prints range from $15 to $60 in price, though several pieces, including some framed, sell for as much as $200+. The sale puts thousands of dollars into the pockets of talented local artists and photographers each year and is an amazing opportunity to see a lot of local work, and buy items for yourself or as holiday gifts.

For 2019, we've scaled back the size of the print sale just a bit (3 designs per artist) to make room for our holiday only store expansion into our gallery space! Ink & Paper will still be a substantial part of the art gallery throughout November and December and will likely get seen more by shoppers being surrounded by other gift-worthy goods.

Prints will also be out on display at all times throughout November & December and not removed at any time to accommodate events, so more exposure for your artwork, but there will not be an opening reception this year. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Lindsey at Thanks again!

Artists are encouraged to promote the sale (and opening reception) in any way they can! Volume One will be placing more than $3,000 worth of large print ads and web ads for the show, as well as promoting it via social media, posters, and press releases. You will be sent details on how to help.

  1. The Volume One Gallery is part of The Local Store, it's a 600 square foot room with wood floors, exposed brick, high rafters, etc - and it’s attached to a grand lobby and small outdoor courtyard. The Local Store will see thousands of shoppers in November/December, so we feel it’s a great time to elevate as much local artwork as possible - all for sale at affordable prices!
  2. This sale only accepts 2D work on paper - we’re looking for screen prints, woodcuts, etchings, mono-prints and other traditional print forms, as well as quality digital/giclee prints of illustrations, photos, and other print media.
  3. We will not accept any kind of 3D work, nothing delicate or cumbersome, and it must hold up to being handled in a retail environment. No pottery, jewelry, or sculpture, etc.
  4. Volume One will accept all prints submitted. Artists may submit up to 3 prints of 3 different works (9 total prints max). If we need more, we'll contact you.
  5. All prints must be in plastic sleeves with cardboard backing. Volume One can provide this for you at $2 per piece, or you can submit prints with sleeves and backing already on. This is for the safety of the artwork and a quality experience for the shopper. After the show, you can keep the sleeves and backing for any prints that did not sell.
  6. All prints will be displayed in art browsers in the middle of the gallery, and as many prints as possible will be hung on the walls in their plastic sleeves. However, due to space, many prints will only be seen in the browsers.
  7. If you’re interested in submitting the originals or framed versions along with your prints, contact to discuss.
  8. Artists set their own price for prints, keeping them as affordable as possible for holiday shoppers.
  9. Artists receive 60% of the sale price, with the rest going to the gallery/store to help cover the cost of the space, promotion, staff, etc. This is the same deal as all consignment products in the store/gallery. Volume One may run promotions/sales; however, these discounts will be directly taken from Volume One's commission cut.
  10. Artists will be paid by the end of January for all prints that sold. The remaining prints must be picked up no later than January 31.
