On Saturday, May 3rd adults and children alike enjoyed “Astronomy Day for the Chippewa Valley”  at UWEC. Events included displays and activities about astronomy for all ages including being able to touch authentic meteorites, safely peer at sunspots,and learn where to see planets in the current night sky.  Other activities included hands-on displays that highlight planets, spectroscopy, magnetism and radioactivity. Short planetarium shows were available throughout the day as well as making and launching  a rocket from a 2-liter bottle, using compressed air
