Eggs-Actly What You Need to Welcome Easter

V1 Staff |

The leftover Valentine’s candy may still be on the store shelves, but it’s never too early to plot your strategy for searching out Easter eggs. The Ninth Annual Chippewa Valley Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 31 – that’s the day before Easter – at Carson Park in Eau Claire. To make the egg-seeking festivities fair for kids of different ages and abilities, the event runs on a schedule, with 1- and 2-year olds and kids with special needs hunting at 10am, 3- to 5-year-olds at 10:15, 6- to 8-year-olds at 10:30, and kids 9 and older at 10:45.

Registration and activities start at 9am at Carson Park’s Pine Pavilion, and in addition to goody-filled plastic eggs the fun includes bouncy houses, a bean bag toss, and more, plus a “Scout Zone” featuring archery and other outdoorsy activities. The event is organized by the Chippewa Valley Council of  the Boy Scouts of America and sponsored by Royal Credit Union and Woodman’s Market (who are providing the all-important candy).
