Let it Glow, Phoenix Park, Eau Claire

Across societies and cultures, most of the holidays celebrated this time of year have one thing in common: banishing the encroaching winter darkness with light. And that theme is central to the annual “Let It Glow!” celebration in downtown Eau Claire, during which thousands of lights strung throughout Phoenix Park are illuminated.

The switch will be flipped (literally) at 5:30pm Friday, Dec. 1. Before and after they “ooh” and “aah” at the ceremony, families are invited to the North Barstow District from 5 to 6:30pm to enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides and hot chocolate. And if you don’t make it to the event itself, you’ll still be able to enjoy the warm glow of the Phoenix Park lights throughout the season.
