Help Your Kids Say 'Bonjour' to Language Learning

V1 Staff |

It’s a scientific fact that there’s no better time to learn a new language than when your brain is young. UW-Eau Claire is helping Chippewa Valley kids get a head start on being bilingual with an upcoming series of free exploratory language classes. UWEC foreign language education majors and minors will teach the courses, which will include beginning French (for kids in grades 1 and 2) and beginning Spanish (grades 1-5). Classes will be in UWEC’s Centennial Hall, 1698 Park Ave., from 4:10-4:50pm on Thursdays beginning March 30 and ending May 11. (There will be no classes April 13.) Registration is only open through March 6, so sign your little learner up fast at tinyurl.com/UWECLanguage. To learn more about the program, contact UWEC Spanish professor Anne Hlas at hlasac@uwec.edu or (715) 836-3528.
