Have you and your family reached the creative limits of what you can do with store-bought egg-coloring kits? Are you looking for a new challenge this Easter season? Then an upcoming workshop at the Chippewa Valley Museum may be eggs-actly what you need. Local artist Amanda Luebeck will teach how to make pysanky – Easter eggs decorated in a traditional Ukrainian folk style using the wax-resist method. Wax is used to write or draw designs on the eggs, which are then dyed; the process may be repeated multiple times to create complex, colorful eggs. Space is limited, so advanced registration is required, and participants must be at least 13 years old. The cost is $30 for museum members and $35 for nonmembers. (Additional take-home kits will be available for $15.) The workshop will be 6-8pm Tuesday, April 4, and it will be repeated 1-3pm Saturday, April 8.
