In This Photo: Half Moon Lake, which surrounds Eau Claire’s Carson Park, has been a summer recreational hotspot for decades. Back in 1950, it was the setting for a “Fish Rodeo” sponsored by the Eau Claire Jaycees. The rodeo was held to encourage boys and girls 5 years old and younger to learn to fish. A pint-sized participant showed off what he rounded up in the water in this photo from the collection of the Chippewa Valley Museum.
