Listen: New Bon Iver Track "PDLIF" Supports Health Workers

100% of proceeds for "Please Don't Live In Fear" donated to Direct Relief

"There will be a better day." It's a mantra sung throughout a brand-new Bon Iver track that dropped this morning called "PDLIF" (Please Don't Live In Fear). The new song, which was recorded remotely and passed around among many of the band's regular collaborators for completion, is up on most streaming services now.

"It serves as a subtle reminder that, though apart, we're never alone; the importance of collaboration and community remains as strong as ever."

100% of the proceeds from the new tune support Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization that provides personal protective equipment (PPE) and essential materials for health workers on the front lines of dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Bon Iver believes in amplifying the good, giving back to those most in need, and rallying around our global community; we hope you'll join us," the band wrote in a statement.

And though the parts were recorded in different parts of the world, "it serves as a subtle reminder that, though apart, we're never alone; the importance of collaboration and community remains as strong as ever," the statement reads.

And on the local front, as announced last month, Bon Iver is donating 10% of all merch sales to Feed My People Food Bank and the Chippewa Valley Artist Relief Fund.

Check out the song, and know that your individual streams directly support those fighting for a healthier world.
