Family Support Center Services Always Available by Phone

‘We are still here for you. It just looks a little different right now.’

Family Support Center remains dedicated to serving Chippewa Valley communities in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic and the statewide “Safer at Home” order. They have made the following changes to service delivery:

Telephone calls and scheduled telephone appointments are welcome and strongly encouraged. As always, Family Support Center continues to be available 24-7 for support and advocacy. They can provide extensive services over the phone:
· Counseling
· Individual and systems advocacy
· Restraining order assistance and preparation
· Safety planning
· Sheltering
· Support during sexual assault exams
· Developing coping strategies
· Information and referral

Tele-services are not just for emergencies, and are not limited to people they have worked with before. If you need someone to listen – call! Although their physical office is temporarily closed, telephone services are always open.

These changes will remain in effect until April 30. This is a rapidly evolving situation and the center will continue to post changes and updates on its website and Facebook page. (Please note that they do not use Facebook Messenger for advocacy services. It is not confidential and not constantly monitored by an advocate.)

Please call Family Support Center at (715) 723-1138 or (800)-400-7020.
