The City of Eau Claire has a new way to keep local kids cool in this record breaking heat.  Starting Tuesday June 7, a bus will travel along two routes and will hit 19 stops picking up swimmers and depositing them at Fairfax Pool.

Despite the recent appeals for repairs, Fairfax Pool remains a popular destination for escaping the summer heat.  According to WQOW the pool is plagued by cracking pipe, leaking concrete, and a 20 year old filtration system.  A citizen group met Monday to discuss repairs to the pool and will present its recommendation to the City Council on July 11.

The bus will shuttle around those fleeing from the heat every Tuesday and Thursday through August 25. WEAU has a full list of the bus stops around Eau Claire right here. And check it out – the pool has its own dang Facebook page.
