Literary smArts Flash Fiction Contest! What is Flash Fiction? A Flash Fiction is a really short story often referred to as nano fiction, sudden fiction, micro fiction, or simply a short short story. It is typically 250-2000 words.

Submission Guidelines Theme: Cultural Diversity (an open-ended theme)

Length and Format:
• 250-600 words, double-spaced, standard font type and size, standard margins
• Limit to 2 submissions

Please include the following elements within your flash fiction piece:
• Contact info:your name, phone number, and e-mail address on page 1
• Running header with the title of your piece and your last name
• Title
• Brief bio - tell us about yourself! (50-100 words) Submission Procedures:

Submission are due Friday April 1, 2011
• Drop them off at the UWEC's University Writing Center (Old Library 1142)
OR
• Submit pieces electronically
