Though official ads have yet to hit, we want to get word out that we’ll be hiring for a full-time graphic designer over the next several weeks. One of our beloved designers, OJ, who has been with us for two-and-a-half years, is off to chase down a dream in Austin, Texas. Here are the general details:

• Volume One, the Chippewa Valley’s culture and entertainment publication, website and event production company, is seeking dynamic, up-and-coming graphic design talent. Design a litany of interesting projects in one of the most creative-friendly organizations in the area. Employ outside-the-box thought and versatile talent to design ads and content for the magazine and website, plus occasional special products, projects, and publications.  Extensive knowledge and efficient use of the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design and similar programs is required. Experience with web design, including Flash and Dreamweaver is preferred. An arts degree, industry experience, and/or prior work in publication design and pre-press production is also preferred. Must be self-motivated, well organized, and must enjoy working with clients and sales professionals.
