Run With the Cops 5K for Special Olympics

You’ve heard of a ride along, but what about a run along? Join dozens of law enforcement officers for this 5k to benefit local Special Olympics athletes. Do you have what it takes to outrun the cops? Will there be “jail time” if you lose to a cop? This unique evening glow run follows a 5k run and 1 mile walk route on campus and through parts of downtown Eau Claire. There’s also a kids’ ¼ mile run. Registration includes a t-shirt and coffee and donuts at the finish line. Plus, a donut eating contest against the cops is guaranteed to be epic! Open to all community members, families, college students and anyone interested in supporting Special Olympics WI. Lights and sirens will lead the way and kids activities will include exploring a cop car, meeting the K9, getting an “official” police badge, and more. $25 for 5k and 1 mile walk. $15 for kids 1/4 mile. Held in late October.
