Learn the history of cross country skiing, and how to ski in this intro level class. Please dress for the weather. Program subject to cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.

Frosty Toona Fat Tire Race

3 miles. Starts underneath HWY 53 Overpass. Ends at River Prairie Lower Pavilion. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Part of the Altoona Frosty Fun Series. Registration at 1pm, race at 2pm. Post event party & awards ceremony at Modicum Brewing at 3pm.

Family Snowshoe Hike on the Ice Age Trail

Join the Ice Age Trail Alliance, Girl Scouts, and Mayo Clinic Health System at a family snowshoe hike at the Chippewa Moraine. Light snacks and warm beverages await at the conclusion. A limited number of snowshoes are available to borrow at the event. Register online by 1/27.
