Native Astronomy - Ojibwa Sky Starmap
Learn about the Ojibwa view of the starry night sky seen in Ziigwan (Ojibwa for spring) and Niibin (summer). Different cultures made different star patterns. After the talk, enjoy looking through telescopes and stargazing if weather permits, so be prepared for outdoor weather. Hobbs Observatory is across the road from Beaver Creek Reserve Nature Center. Check updated information at cvastro.org. These monthly astronomy presentations are provided by the Chippewa Valley Astronomical Society.
