On March 30, 2023, middle and high school students from across Western Wisconsin will gather in Augusta to compete in the 2023 Engineering Machine Design Contest presented by Minnesota State Engineering Center of Excellence and CESA 10 College & Career Readiness. Twenty-three teams representing seven regional school districts will participate.

Teams of students design and build a multi-step machine based on this year’s theme: “Into Orbit - Transforming Space Technology.” Teams will present their machine to a panel of judges from local engineering and manufacturing companies including MRS Machining, Bush Brothers & Co., Ayres Associates, 3M, Realityworks, and WIN Technology. Successful teams will be invited to participate in the championship at Minnesota State University in April.
