Add color to your child's white winter! Watch your child's creativity flourish through art. This 8-week program covers a variety of techniques that are great for students of all artistic levels. Each year, there are new projects and materials for your child to explore and learn. Read below for class descriptions for each age group. Grades K–2 This course is perfect for the budding artist as they learn about basic artistic techniques and materials. This series is led by a local art instructor, Julie Schaller and features age-appropriate techniques that provide a great base for future artistic expression. Each week we will cover a variety of techniques ranging from drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, fiber arts, and clay.

Grades 3-5

This course is for the elementary-aged child who wants to create more art and just can’t get enough! Every class will be spent working with different art media from chalk pastels to drawing pencils, watercolor to acrylic painting, printmaking to collage, and even clay! Instructor Julie Schaller has many years of experience teaching art using all kinds of different media.

Grades 6–8

This course is for the middle school-aged child who wants to continue or start developing their painting and drawing skills. Each week will be spent learning useful techniques while sharpening each student's ability to think creatively through a variety of pencil, watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media projects. Don't miss out on the fun! This class will be led by Harlie Juedes.

Grades 9-12

This course is for the high school student that is passionate about art and wants to advance in their painting and drawing skills. Learn from the local artist and creative professional Harlie Juedes the techniques that are used to develop realistic, creative and attractive compositions. Each week we will cover a variety of painting and drawing mediums including pencil, charcoal, acrylic, watercolor and mixed media projects.
