Co-op Camp Informational Presentation
Co-op Camp at WFU Kamp Kenwood Since the 1930s, kids have enjoyed Wisconsin Farmers Union’s summer camp program. Affordable overnight sessions for ages 8–18 at WFU Kamp Kenwood near Chippewa Falls feature co-op games and lessons and the creation of a camp co-op store, complete with board election, equity payment, dividend, and charitable giving—right alongside swimming, hiking, silly songs, and campfires. Join us to learn about our unique, safe, and fun summer camp experience for rural and urban kids from across Wisconsin and beyond. Registration required 48 hours prior in store or through the Register button above. Bio – Cathy Statz, Education Director As the Education Director for the Wisconsin Farmers Union, Cathy manages cooperative education programs for Farmers Union members, youth and the general public, including summer camps and conferences. She has assisted with the Emerging (Future) Co-op Leaders program in Washington, D.C., led student groups to Building Co-operative Futures conferences abroad, and co-coordinates the National Farmers Union College Conference on Cooperatives. She is a member of the boards of the Association of Cooperative Educators (ACE) and the Kentron Foundation, and is past president of the Rotary Club of Chippewa Falls and the Lawrence University Alumni Association. Cathy and her husband Tom Pamperin live in Chippewa Falls, where she is active as a board member and performer with the Eau Claire area chamber ensemble, The Master Singers, and volunteers with Junior Achievement of Northwest Wisconsin.
