Best Art Gallery

1st Place: Heyde Center for the Arts
2nd Place: L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library
3rd Place: Janet Carson Gallery

There’s no excuse not to experience the generous visual art offerings in our Valley, especially considering all the winning galleries are free to visit! The Heyde Center for the Arts in Chippewa Falls was No. 1. With multiple floors of gallery space, it features all local artists all the time. The Heyde Center is home to the Spring Art and Chippewa Valley Watercolor Artists shows, and patrons can partake in Paint-a-Palooza classes. The L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire (No. 2), home to the Wisconsin ArtWest juried art show, exhibits works by regional and local artists. The Janet Carson Gallery (No. 3), part of the Eau Claire Regional Arts Center, also highlights local and regional artists, most recently the “Confluence of Art” biennial winners. —Barbara Arnold
