1st Place: A Few Good Men
2nd Place: Gruesome Playground Injuries
3rd Place: Sherlock Holmes: The Last Adventure

This one was a tight race, with only one vote separating these top three winners. We’ve got some great theatrical talent in the Chippewa Valley! In first place, A Few Good Men, written by Aaron Sorkin and produced by the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild, kept audiences on the edges of their seats with the tightly wound story of high-level conspiracy in the U.S. Navy. In second place, Gruesome Playground Injuries, written by Rajiv Joseph and directed by Jake Lindgren backstage at the State Theatre, told the story of childhood friends Kayleen and Doug as their lives intersect at strange intervals over 30 years. The Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild’s production of Sherlock Holmes: The Last Adventure wove a tale of intrigue and blackmail with humor and surprise. —Amanda Foxcroft
